Prof.dr. Bert Holtslag
Bert Holtslag is full-professor of Meteorology at Wageningen University & Research. He has a broad interest in Meteorology and advises PhD and MSc students on a variety of subjects, including urban weather and climate. His particular interest is advancing the knowledge of the atmospheric boundary layer. This includes the further understanding of the complex interactions of the atmosphere with the land and sea surfaces, as well as application of these insights to weather, climate, wind energy, and air quality. To advance the modelling of atmospheric boundary layers, he is co-chairing the Atmospheric boundary layer Study (GABLS) of the International Global Energy and Water Cycle Program (GEWEX).
