Friday 11 December, AMS organized its first graduates/alumni meeting for Delft and Wageningen MSc students, who do or have done their final thesis work in co-operation with AMS Institute. About 40 MSc students from various master programmes, were invited to share their project experiences and exchange ideas in a number of informal discussion rounds. Four students presented their thesis work publicly.
- Sjouke Wieringa, MSc Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics presented her work on Crowd Management with SAIL Amsterdam as case study.
- Mart Reiling and Thijs Dolders, MSc Landscape Architecture, presented their thesis and design proposals about Running in Amsterdam.
- Janneke van der Leer, MSc Urbanism, presented her urban design and planning project on Zero waste in Buiksloterham.
All students were asked to reflect on the AMS plans for a new MSc programme Metropolitan Analysis, Design & Engineering which is scheduled to start in September 2017. Finally the day was closed by a plenary brainstorm and discussion on how to build a sustainable AMS student and alumni community.
