Carlo is a research engineer at the AMS Institute and has worked on the development of SocialGlass within the Urban Data Science team. In his role as technical lead of SocialGlass, Carlo is responsible for the design and implementation of new services and features for SocialGlass and the deployment of SocialGlass as a service.
In 2018, Carlo applied Social glass in three separate projects: for monitoring and visualizing the crowd density during the International Festival of Technology at the TU Delft, for monitoring the social media activity during the WeMakeTheCity event and on the deployment of SocialGlass during the TT festival in Assen.
Carlo specializes in software engineering. His main focus is on back-end software development, social data, and user modeling. He supports research on the relationship between people, cities and new digital societies - which makes Amsterdam a suitable testing ground for gathering new insights.
