Hélène joined the communication team in the spring of 2018. She is responsible for content creation and also coordinates public relations activities. In her role, she ensures that the content on the website is well-structured and user-friendly, while maintaining the corporate storyline of AMS Institute. In close collaboration with the Research and Valorization Team, Hélène is developing a content agenda. And, last but not least, Helene covers media requests in a team effort.
In the summer of 2018, Hélène focused on locating and crafting the right content for the new website of AMS Institute. At the same time, she managed PR activities for the finale of the Green Student Challenge with Wageningen University and reported on the kick off for the second MSc MADE cohort starting in September 2018.
Besides being passionate about innovation and writing, Hélène also cares about international affairs, environmental issues and languages/communication in general. She is native French and is fluent in English and Dutch. To date, she has volunteered translation work for several international non-governmental organizations.
Even though Hélène has resided in several big cities across the world, Amsterdam feels most like home to her. She enjoys the many facets of Amsterdam and its dynamics. AMS Institute represents to her that missing link between research and the city to solve urban issues and build a (3D printed!) bridge of hope towards a better world.
“Start small but think big. Local solutions can lead to global improvement.”
