Kristina is the Head of Treasury for the Study Association MADE IT. Her responsibilities include overseeing the financial budgets dedicated to committees, events and generating additional value for the association. Particularly this year, the goal of the Treasury is to fund activities as most independently as possible from the AMS Institute in terms of budgets, to avoid weighing on the Institute's financial resources. This effort will be collective of all committees and board members, which will seek for strategic collaborations and sponsorships to also further increase the Masters course and the Study Association visibility within Amsterdam's academic and professional networks. Kristina is also part of the Startup Booster program, which quests after bringing together all the main academic and professional institutions in the Marineterrein to collaborate and provide knowledge for the Startup Booster participants and, hopefully, to the MADE IT Association too.
Kristina’s academic background consists in environmental management and economic geography, with focus on civil engineering and urban resilience against climate change. She is also highly passionate about behavioral and experimental economics, which is one of the WUR electives she has chosen to deepen her knowledge in the subject. Kristina joined the Board as her interests stretch on to financial and entrepreneurial pathways, more precisely in startups development, business models and financial structuring. She felt it was her place. Prior to specializing in Amsterdam, she graduated and worked in big cities such as Moscow, London and Milan, and this drew her to observing urban challenges and opportunities up-close. With her experience and interests, Kristina hopes to bring the most beneficial results to the MADE IT Study Association and the MSc MADE course, together with the rest of the Board Team.
