Remko Uijlenhoet received both the MSc degree (Hydrology and Water Resources, 1990) and the PhD degree (Hydrometeorology, 1999) from Wageningen University. From 1997 to 1999 he was a Marie Curie Fellow at the Laboratoire d’Etude des Transferts en Hydrologie et Environnement (LTHE) in Grenoble, France. From 2000 to 2001 he was a Research Associate in the Water Resources Program at Princeton University, USA. In 2001 he received a 5-year grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) to set up a research team in Hydrometeorology, within the Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management Group at Wageningen University. In 2006 he became an Associate Professor and in 2007 he was appointed Full Professor and Chair of Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management at Wageningen University.
