From December 11 until December 13, Florida Earth Foundation will host The Global Resilience Summit at the world-famous Breakers Hotel and Resort in Palm Beach.
On Wednesday December 12, our Scientific Director Arjan van Timmeren will be giving a lecture on Smart, Resilient and Just Cities – A quadruple helix approach to Urban Resilience based on People’s perspective supported by Innovative Technologies.
The Summit will bring together a wide variety of stakeholders, especially in the private and academic sectors, to share ways in which collaboration and partnership can be fostered around resilience themes. Global challenges in resilience are mounting at an alarming rate and no one entity or organization has the ability to make much of a dent in solutions…however, together we might. Using case studies of resilience in coastal communities, opportunities to come away from the Summit with the beginnings of significant impacts based on working together, is the anticipated outcome of this game changing event. As this is primarily an invitation driven event, an atmosphere of commraderie and partnership will allow C-level executives to be at ease with their colleagues and fellow participants.
