We are happy to announce that we have several exciting new opportunities for our summer schools!
All courses are designed to stimulate interaction and fieldwork, and get in-depth knowledge in different fields of specialization.
We will start at the end of June with the Action Lab – Re-Learning Public Space, which will be held in parallel with the Re-Learning Public Space event. Along 5 thematic routes, the participants will engage with public spaces in Amsterdam and their challenges. The aim is to develop an alternative city guide. The Action Lab will be spread over June 28th and 30th, and July 3rd.
From July 9th to 13th, AMS Institute will host the intensive PhD summer school Interpretive Policy Analysis: conflict and sustainable futures, in collaboration with Wageningen School of Social Sciences and the European Consortium for Political Research (ECRP). The central theme of this summer school is conflicts and collaboration for sustainable futures.
Following last year’s successful edition of Making the Metropolis and in line with the Stations of the Future event held in Paris last March, the Integrated Mobility Challenges in Future Metropolitan areas summer school will take place from August 21st to 28th. The course will explore interdisciplinary approaches towards a sustainable urban integration of rail-metro stations – with Amsterdam Sloterdijk station as a testbed. The classes will be held in Delft, with some field expeditions in Amsterdam.
