AMS Impact analysis Noord/Zuidlijn

The effects of a large-scale new mobility infrastructure on the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area

In 2018 the first metro trains will go into operation on the new Noord/Zuidlijn metro line under the center of Amsterdam. What is the impact of such a large-scale new infrastructure for the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area? By comparing the situation before and after it goes into operation, the Noord/Zuidlijn offers a unique opportunity to investigate the effects of a large scale new infrastructure on mobility patterns and behavior, socio-economic and spatial aspects, as well as quality of life.
