Mique is a study advisor for the master's program Metropolitan Analysis, Design, and Engineering (MSc MADE). She helps students find balance in study and life so they can achieve study progress and well-being. In addition, Mique works as a student Life Coach at WUR University for students who would like guidance with personal (non-study) issues.
Her academic history includes graduating as a lawyer and working as a governmental adviser and policy maker for the city of Utrecht. After a decade, she decided to change careers and became a registered career and personal coach (RL). During that time, she has guided hundreds of employees of governmental organizations in their jobs.
For 9 years, Mique has worked as an (interim) study adviser for WUR at different educational programmes. She loves the broad perspective on education this job gives her and the variety it creates. Mique specializes in guiding students through making choices and untangling chaos.
Working for AMS Institute is perfect for her because it brings together her different interests: (landscape) architecture and design. She wishes to (indirectly) participate in making our planet a better place. She also loves the contemporary, creative, and innovative vibe of the institute and the Marine-terrein.
“It’s such a pleasure to guide students to choosing what suits them most, choosing with their heart.”
