Theodoros is an Assistant Professor at TU Delft on the economics and finance of climate adaptation, and he is the lead of Climate Finance for Climate Resilient Infrastructure flagship of TU Delft’s Climate Action Program. He is working on the economics of regional development of EU regions and how climate interacts with cohesion, inequality, and the sustainability of regions. Theodoros uses econometrics and macroeconomic modelling as main analytical tools.
Ongoing Horizon projects:
- JustREACH(2025-2029): Leading WP4; Impact assessment towards just resilience.
- GLOBAL-ACT(2027-2030): Leading WP6; Adaptation Pillar-Adaptation Needs, Costs/Benefits, Limits, and Equity Impacts.

Theodoros is involved in several policy projects in collaboration with the Dutch Environmental Assessment Agency like the Toekomstverkenning-WLO. He is working with the PDPC, and he is developing policy tools for the Unie van Waterschappen in collaboration with the NWB and the Resilient Delta.
Climate change is the defining challenge of our time, and the debate about it runs on statistics and data. My aim in MADE is to train scientists and practitioners who cannot be manipulated by data, and who refuse to manipulate with it.
“Everybody lies with data, don’t let them manipulate the narrative.”
