Conference Programme
At 12.30 you are welcomed with a walk-in lunch. At 13.15 the conference starts. Confirmed speakers for the conference are Gertjan Lankhorst, director New Energy Coalition; and Diederik Jekel, science journalist. They will summarize the project results, clustered in themes. Finally, Paulien Herder, Captain of Science Topsector Energy, will lead the closing session and connect the results of the projects to the Topsector Energy.
Participants
The conference is open to anyone who is interested in new scientific and practical knowledge that can contribute to the adoption and implementation of smart energy systems. The conference is free of charge, but registration is compulsory.
Background
At the beginning of 2014 eleven research projects were granted. In 2016 eight Plus-projects have been added for experiments in the Amsterdam region. Results of all of these projects will be discussed at the closing conference. The objective of the URSES programme (2013-2019) is to contribute to the reduction of uncertainty for actors in the energy chain by developing the science and tools that are needed for smart energy systems (SES). It has a multidisciplinary approach, with contributions from computer science, (control) technology, social and behavioural sciences, to mathematics and economics.
Organisation
The conference is organized by NWO with the participation of Shell, AMS Institute and TKI Urban Energy. For more information contact Roos Dorsman.
