The sunlit Amsterdam Innovation Day was a wrap! Last week, nearly 3,000 entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and interested visitors attended the first edition of Amsterdam Innovation Day at Marineterrein.
The morning featured keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and a matchmaking lunch for investors and startups. Jacqueline van den Ende from Carbon Equity gave an inspiring keynote on building ventures that matter and how to fund them differently.
In the afternoon, Marineterrein was buzzing with over 60 enthusiastic startups exhibiting their ideas. The interactive exhibition was well attended, with plenty of introductions, exchanges of ideas, and new connections. Innofest organized inspiring innovation tours that showcased the highlights of the innovation market.

Your idea, your city of tomorrow
The day concluded beautifully with announcing the Amsterdam Innovation Contest winners for the city's future. Ilknur Dönmez, Stephan van Dijk, and Mariska Joustra awarded prizes for best startup and best ideas for and by Amsterdam residents.
Three winners emerged from the ‘Your idea, your city of tomorrow’ competition. The public prize went to Helen's Buurtwinkel. The incentive prize went to Molenwijk Schoner. The grand prize went to the passionate students of Roomus, an app that helps students find compatible roommates quickly, safely, and socially inclusively. The award for the best startup of the day went to WasteBase. They won over the most fans and the judges with their innovative platform for reusing materials.
