750X Amsterdam Stories

For Amsterdam's 750th anniversary, 750 stories about or set in the city have been selected. They showcase the people, organizations, and events that have shaped Amsterdam into the city it is today. The stories range from personal to historically significant, from inspirational to tragic, and from surprising to scientific. The Amsterdam750 website will also feature some of AMS Institute’s highlight stories.

Cooling the City: Forest Temperatures at the Amsterdam On the Ring Festival

At the On the Ring festival, 750 trees and 7,500 saplings transformed the A10 into a cool, green escape. As part of the i-Tree project, TU Delft and AMS Institute researchers showed live how trees help lower temperatures, underlining how vital they are for our cities.
