28 students and lecturers from Peer Academy | ROC van Amsterdam – Flevoland, Codam Coding College, the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK), and AMS Institute will work intensively together for the coming 8 weeks around one central question: how does technology influence our lives, our relationships and society – and how can makers and professionals respond to this consciously and creatively?
What makes this program truly unique is the collaboration across vocational (mbo), applied sciences (hbo), and research university (wo) levels. Makers, programmers, researchers, and practice-oriented students meet beyond the walls of their own institutions, creating a learning environment that is both experimental and inspiring. Marineterrein serves as a vibrant innovation district and living lab, where art, science, and technology converge.
The program is guided by guest speakers and experts from the fields of art, technology, philosophy, and social innovation, including Clemens Driessen, Aminata Cairo, Ferial Saatchi-Sabelis, Rutger Gommers, and Jenny Trimp. During eight sessions, alternately organised by AHK, AMS Institute, ROCvA-F Peer Academy and Codam, participants work towards tangible outcomes such as prototypes, performances, installations or interventions that explore the societal impact of technology.
The program concludes on 15 April with a public Final Showcase at the Marineterrein, where all projects will be presented to a broad audience. With this initiative, the participating institutions take an important step in further developing Marineterrein as a dynamic innovation district and inspiring learning environment, where education, creativity and societal reflection go hand in hand.
More information about the Final Showcase will follow.
