Project: ACUMEN

In ACUMEN, we work on AI-powered solutions for multimodal mobility management in complex urban environments. We employ techniques such as reinforcement learning, data fusion, machine-learning-based prediction and forecasting, and advanced traffic management, with a focus on establishing a Digital Twin ecosystem where these approaches can be integrated for stakeholders to interact with. Four pilot cities participate in the consortium, each with a specific thematic focus (Amsterdam – simulation of advanced multimodal management strategies during supply disruptions; Athens – simulation of multi-tier Reinforcement Learning based traffic management; Helsinki – app-based multimodal route guidance with real-time data fusion; Luxembourg – Autonomous, Demand Responsive Transit powered by demand forecasting)
